Since this is a significant announcement I want to highlight the main changes and how they will impact our partners and customers.

Cisco ONE Software

Cisco ONE Software is all about simplicity and choice for customers. It’s fast IT powered by new software capabilities. Cisco ONE Software includes comprehensive software suites across the Data Center, WAN, and Access domains, and will give customers a choice of new flexible software offerings for their infrastructure.

There is also Cisco ONE Enterprise Cloud Suite which brings public cloud simplicity and automation to the private cloud.  For Cisco partners this means that you’ll see lower barriers to sales, you can deliver more value, improve profitability, predict revenue streams and have higher customer retention.

Cisco Meraki

In January 2013 Cisco acquired Meraki for Cloud Managed Wireless. Today, we’re introducing Cloud Managed IT, which brings the speed and agility of cloud to on-premise IT.

Cisco Meraki will provide world-class networking, security and device management that’s all managed from the cloud. With today’s announcement we officially welcome Cisco Meraki into our enterprise offerings, leveraging the same simplicity that brought us success in the mid-market.

For partners there will be a complete cloud-managed portfolio, you’ll be able to capture recurring revenue with cloud management licenses and expand your opportunities to enterprise, mid-market/commercial and SMB. Meraki is an ideal managed service networking solution whether you have an established MSP practice or are looking to start one.

Overall both Cisco ONE Software and Cisco Meraki give customers a lot of choice in how they purchase and consume their network and IT systems, which is great news for our customers and partners in Canada.
